Hi ,

Wow that is some sad stories for those little dogs. I'm so glad you

were able to find them and take care of them. I love these little

tiny dogs. I wish I could find one for you. You don't happen to

live in California do you. I know the people that found this one

said they keep finding little abandoned dogs and this was the third

one they had found. If you were anywhere near me I'd watch out for

one for you and deliver to you. Maybe it's just not the right time

yet but hopefully a little one will come your way eventually. I

will keep you in my prayers. I feel someone really looked out for

us on this one because she is so perfect for our family. My husband

doesn't even like little dogs but he has taken to her with no

problem. He really likes her which is a miracle in itself. It's

hard not to believe there was some divine intervention on this one.

I'm just happy to have her. We gave her the name Angel because as

my 8 year old says it's like she's just a little angel. Thank you

for the nice reply and I will pray you receive a sweet little angel

also. Carol

> Hi Carol,

> What a blessing........I have been praying for something like

that to happen to me!......I have always had at least one dog in my

life.......I had two large dogs before I got too ill to care for

them......One was a pittbull/chow mix....and the other was a

rottwieller/ german Shepard mix......they were my best friends and

companions for many years. My `Bear' , the Pitt/Chow mix...was born

at my house .....(my son was living with me at the time and he had a

female Pitt Bull.) she was with me for 10 years. She was my

Heart!.....My`Trouble' , the Rotty/Shephard mix came to me one day

as I was walking Bear in our neighborhood......she was just a small

puppy with the biggest Ears you ever saw!.....she came whining up to

us crying for help.....Hence the name " Trouble " .......She was in

terrible trouble.....half starved.....full of fleas and worms and so

very vulnerable in the street.

> I took her around the neighboorhood .....posted signs.....and

after a few days......I made her mine. I took her for shots,

deworming and all. She had had her tailed docked, and it had not

healed well......She was with me for about 5 years.

> Before I got sick I used to attach a double leash to them and

the other end to the handlebars of my bicycle and we would go for a

`Bicycle'....every morning around the neighboorhood.

> They were so smart and well-behaved.....I swear they knew every

word I said.......

> Then there was the little Pomeranian I rescued from the street

after his being hit by a car.......Little `Alf' was a beat up

mess.....he lost the tip of one ear, and his tail was broken, so

that it no longer had it's curl.....He was so bruised and had a long

gash on his back .....He lived under my couch for about two weeks

before he would let me touch him to take him to the vet......As long

as he was eating like there was no tomorrow and drank his

water......I respected his wishes not to be hurt anymore by trying

to pick him up.

> So you see it seemed like God was dropping all these little guys

in my lap....for me to take care of and to love.

> When I was diagnosed with Lupus I tried to keep them.....but

financial difficulties made it necessary for me to move from my

wonderful two bedroom duplex with a yard, and gardens front and

back , to a tiny efficiency apt.......I could not care for them

anymore and had to have my son find a Rescue Facility that would

take them.......I had to have him take them while I was in the

hospital recovering from scalding my hand ....(.it was bad, second

and third degree burns..) any way , I knew I could never let them go

out that door if I was there....so he took them before I came

home......I felt like I had lost my children..

> I feel that I could care for a small dog.....after all I can go

to the gym twice a week now and can walk better now that I have my

knee brace....I fell and broke my knee in 2000......

> But the powers that be have not dropped another little dog in my

lap as yet....I can't afford to buy one or adopt one from a

shelter....My budget is Very Limited, and it costs like $50.00 to

get one from the shelters....then there's the spaying or neutering.

So my only hope is for a little stray that no one else wants.

happy for you and your new little friend......take good care of her!
