Hi there, glad you joined us. I

am Cheryl, age 57, had SLE since a teen. About 7 ½ yrs. ago got

cancer. I had a brain hemorrhage and several seizures. After that I

got Fibromyalgia. I always had IBS since in my 20’s anyway so now

it’s worse. I now have arthritis, osteoporosis, interstitial

cystitis, cognitive dysfunction (lupus fog) and problems from the stroke. I

am also severely depressed, especially now. I have benign tremors that

started up about 7 mo. ago. My husband has bipolar disorder and can’t

hold a job anymore. I am on disability and cannot work. Aren’t

I depressing? Sometimes I send jokes anyway. Feel free to jump

right in.

Hello,

My name is . I am 43, happily married and have

had connective tissue disease since 1990. I have over lapping

symptoms of Lupus, RA, and Sjogrens. I am disabled due three failed spinal

surgeries, spinal stenosis, failed back syndrome, peripheral neuropathy, and

chronic back pain. I have one sister with Lupus and one sister with RA. Luckily

my brother does not have any connective tissue disease.

I was approved for SSD two weeks after they sent me to see

their doc. That was three and a half years ago. My wife is a psychotherapist in

private practice.

We live in upstate NY and are proudly owned by five cats and

a nutty Jack Terrier.

I am on numerous medications, but am not currently on

anything for the Lupus as I had surgery a couple of months ago. My rheumy is

starting me on injectable Methotrexate soon and wants to make sure that I am

well healed first. I am hoping I have a better reaction to the Methotrexate

than my sister. It made her very ill. I was on Plaquenil for quite sometime,

but I developed an allergy to it.

This seems like a great list.
