Guest guest
Carol, For info on blood tests go to http://www.itzarion.com/lupusgroup.html. Lupus is a strange illness. We all get different things. One person can get different things. One can be sick and die and most just live with pain. I started out with kidney and bladder trouble as a teen. I also had fatigue at times. I once broke little blood vessels all over my chest. I had open sores on my fingers and then one on my face. I got colitis and IBS in my 20’s and the fatigue got worse. I got TMJ dysfunction in my 30’s and had more fatigue. I got arthritis symptoms then too. My joints and fatigue got so bad in my early or mid 40’s I finally saw a Rheumy. That is when I learned I had lupus. My lupus did get worse and I cut my work to part-time. At about 50 I got cancer and had very rough treatments. I had a brain hemorrhage. The Dr’s said it might have been the lupus. I lost most of my memory of that year and some of the next. The trauma left me with fibromyalgia and interstitial cystitis. I know have arthritis, osteoporosis, & cognitive dysfunction (lupus fog). This year I came down with familial tremors. I am 57 and not looking forward to getting older. I have a bad attitude and suffer with a lot of depression! Cheryl in CA From: cjlw61 Sent: Wednesday, April 21, 2004 1:32 PM To: LUPIES Subject: Question what to expect with lupus diagnosis? Hi everyone! I want to tell you all thank you so much for all the support and answers you give to all of us. I can't believe what a great group of people this support group is. I love checking in each day just to learn something new about the disease or laugh because someone left something funny to help cheer everyone up!
