Guest guest
hi, can someone recommend supplements to take that might protect a fetus from mercury exposure from the mother's amalgams? or are just good in general beyond prenatal vitamins? thanks, jen _____________________________________________________________ hipMama.com = Raucous + Opinionated + Iconoclastic
Guest guest
I don't know about supplements to protect against mercury, but I had a baby in January and I read something on Dr. Mercolas website about fish oil in pregnancy is really good for brain function with a fetus. He also recommeneds Calson fish oil since its tested for mercury. I took it every day starting in the beginning of my third trimester and so far, my baby is very advanced. If I were you, I'd take fish oil and just avoid toxins (store bought house cleaning products, pesticides, flu shot, etc....), and eat a healthy diet of organic fruits, veggies, and meat that has no anti- biotics and hormones. If you do that, you baby should have a good start. > hi, > can someone recommend supplements to take that might protect a fetus from mercury exposure from the mother's amalgams? or are just good in general beyond prenatal vitamins? > thanks, > jen > > _____________________________________________________________ > hipMama.com = Raucous + Opinionated + Iconoclastic
Guest guest
The information below is good advice. Prenatal vitamins are great, take them 3-4 times a day. Prenatal vitamins always have inadequate magnesium. Either take the vitamin daily dose 3-4 times a day (that is, get more) or add in some magnesium. Some additional vitamin C also helps but is less an issue than the magnesium. I wouild suggest yuo try very hard to avoid hydrogenated fats, too. Eat enough fiber and electrolyte (like magnesium) to have bowel movements every day. Your body can generate plenty of toxins on its own.
