Leach for School Board

Dear Listmembers,Good News! Leach is running for School Board to represent our population. Many of you know Piechura Leach. attended our local

schools. After graduating from college, returned home to teach in

our local schools. Her area of expertise is special needs students. She

has both professional and personal experience with students with developmental, behavioral and learning disabilities.Over the years, developed a proficiency in the field of autism, and advised school

districts in other parts of the nation in best practices and programs. has also served on the Board of the Broward ASA. is married to businessman Leach who also grew up here and is a Fort Lauderdale High School graduate. and have two children, who attend Virginia Shuman Young Elementary School. We were so proud when was given the opportunity to serve on

the School Board last fall. She is our local voice and knows firsthand the challenges that face our students and teachers. In recent years, cuts in funding have meant cuts to the classroom. has made returning dollars to the classroom a priority, and, in her short tenure,

we have already seen the results. is running for

election for School Board District 3. She needs our support, and we are

reaching out to you to ask you to vote Tuesday, August 14 for

ҠLeach. If you are out of town that day, please remember to request an absentee ballot or participate in early voting (August 4-11) at the Main Library or Art Serve. All too often, our problems with public schools seem overwhelming and our government remote. We have an incredible opportunity to elect a representative who grew up, worked, and is raising her children in our community. Whether you have children in public school or not, we hope you will make a special effort to vote for a special candidate. Vote for ҠLeach to be OUR representative to the School Board District 3.
