An erroneous report went out earlier today regarding the California legislation

to ban mercury in vaccines, AB 2943, indicating that Governor Arnold

Schwarzenegger had vetoed this bill. Assembleywoman Fran Pavely's office has

just informed us that the bill has not yet reached Governor Schwarzenegger's

desk, has NOT been vetoed, and is still alive as it makes it's way through the

California legislative process.

We'll be keeping a careful eye on the fate of this crucial health care

legislation and will pass on information to you as it becomes available to us.

Well, if this is true, I sure feel stupid. I read about this in the

Shaffer report this morning and I actually wrote to the governor

about what this is going to do to more children by him letting them

put mercury in the shots.

CA Mercury Ban Bill Vetoed by Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger

Vetoed Bill would have prevented mercury injections as follows: Vaccines that

contain mercury could not be injected into pregnant women and children under 3,

starting in July 2006, unless there is critical shortage of vaccines or a public

health emergency. Some studies indicate the that mercury can contribute to

increasing rates of autism. AB2943 by Assemblywoman Fran Pavley, D-Agoura Hills,

passed the Assembly 48-21 and was stopped by the governor. [source: Monterey
