I still feel guilty though, especially at the grocery where I might run into people I " know " who aren't really friends. But just the walk in tires me, then I sit in the cart and rest, then the walk out gets me, then I climb in the van and rest. No one else knows what kind of pain hides behind this Lupie exterior. After having numerous surgeries on my leg a few years back it was nice to use the carts them I felt guilty cause I figured I could walk okay. > > Let me tell you lately I have been using them again. I do this when I'm real tired and also if I have to go to both sides to the store to get a few things. I hate dragging myself from side to side to get a small amount. I feel a little silly sometimes because some people think I can't walk and offer to get things down off of the top shelf. Actually it is helpful when they do that but I tell them I can stand. Lupus takes some getting used to, that's for sure. When I get home from the store it is all I can do to get the bags in the house. Sometimes I leave the dry things in the car for my husband and I put the cold things away and lie down. Maybe you snap at people because you are mad that you have lupus.
