Guest guest
Hi everyone, I awoke this morning with another terrible headache and stayed home from work until noon. I don't know which way to go regarding HA. Sometimes I'm pretty sure they are muscle-related, tension headaches, and sometimes I know they are sinus headaches. Other times I feel they may be something like a cluster headache, as my doctor and I have talked about. Last night, I got it in the middle of the night, and was just too tired to get up and take anything, as I don't sleep well at all anyway, and usually wake up 2-4 times a night. My back has been very sore and tight the last few days, sometimes feeling like I have a catch there. I applied heat to it in a couple different places, and today it feels better, but then the HA came. I took Excedrin and it helped, but I still have a slight HA and just a feeling of dopiness, kind of. I took my usual meds this morning, which consists of 2-50 mg. Ultram. I guess what I would like from you guys, is some advice on what to tell my doctor, or what type of HA you think this is. I forgot to say that last night I also took two muscle relaxants at bed time. They are Methacarbamol-500 mg (Robaxin). I'm not sure they did a lot for me - perhaps they gave me the HA??? I also have Zanaflex, but if I remember right, the last time I took it, I was a zombie in a matter of minutes. I have been allergic to a muscle relaxant in the past, in high school, but I don't remember the name of it, and my doctor thought these would be safe for me to take. I've read that Apnea can cause headaches that come on during the night, but I don't think I have that, though I've never been tested. Wouldn't you have some idea if you had this? I've never had the sensation of choking or not being able to breathe, etc. I've also tried Migrazone for headaches, but it doesn't seem to do much for me either. I do not function at all well when I have a headache, in fact, I think I'd rather have a broken bone or something rather than a headache. What are some medications that have worked for you?? Would it interfere with Ultram? Any advice would be greatly appreciated! I would go to get a massage if I thought the results would last, but it seems to help only for awhile, and I can't really afford to go as much as I'd like to. Mike, any suggestions you may be able to give to me? Thanks in advance for any help! Love Lana
