When you act solely out of self interest, you end up making yourself that much smaller. When your actions are sincerely guided by love for others, you are lifted up as much as they. When love is attacked, it grows stronger. When love is denied, it becomes even more compelling. Love endures through the most difficult of times and the most hopeless of situations. By yielding, love overcomes, setting up a dynamic that cannot be defeated. Think of your life as it was ten or twenty years ago. The details in your memory have likely faded, yet the love you experienced is stronger than ever. Is there any truth that is greater than this? Love is, and will always be.
