Guest guest
Yes, they did kick him out for telling a dream- but in some ways- I understand their fear- I guess.......... ( with the thought of school bombings and such ) but mercy- my son is just not like that....... and anyone that hears something should realize --- especially in a school setting--------- that by the time it reached the principle it was going to be outrageous..........In some ways though- Im glad he's here and doing it this way- he hated school- didnt turn in homework etc........... Now he loves it and is looking forward to graduation..... Big plus there! Through here, they go at their own pace- of course the state says they have to input so many hours per week for it to be considered home schooling- but everything checked out great and it is considered proper home schooling......... Yes- all you do is sign up- They are very nice to converse with via the telephone as well. Any questions you have - they are happy to help out.... And once you get the student # after you enroll, she can just plop the url in, check assignments that are available for her to do and either wait for the material to come regular mail or download the book online in adobe format...... does it both ways......... that way if I'm ill and cant be around the computer to help him with a problem....... he can bring me the book and say - 'Hey mom- I don't get this one " and we can figure it out together......... Another plus is if they do not pass one of the tests- ( which they can look for answers in their books - open book tests ) they can take it over in five days but the highest grade allowed then is only 70 percent due to the retake....... even if she scored 100 the second time around, just like in public schools- most of them anyhow- they arent allowed to have a full grade...... But that still is not a bad grade. You would not be piled up with curriculum worries......... its all laid out- they do the work for that.......... Contact me anytime.......... if you have any more questions about it.......... Ya know - I feel my son has actually retained more info this way as well- plus gained computer skills- typing skills.......... a room full of 30 some kids vs one on one teaching......... makes a huge difference. Hugs- TJ Kicked him out of school for telling a dream? Now, that makes a lot of sense! What a bunch of goof balls (I would say something else there, but better not). Anyway, I'll check this stuff out. misses so much school too. I keep saying I wish I could home school her too. I'm afraid it will be too hard. I'm afraid we all don't have the discipline. I'm not worried about the social aspect. They still hang out with their friends. I'll check this out. I suppose you sign up for it, and make the payments, and they send you the course material. That would be so easy. I was wondering if there was something like that. I wouldn't be able to handle figuring out all the require course material. If someone just sent it to me, then that sounds pretty easy!!!! Thanks. I'll probably be talking about this more with you, if you don't mind.
