to Carla re: your criticism of Naturopathy

Dear Carla,

I really appreciate this board,... it is helping so many women, so thank you.

Remember, you and this doctor are only giving your OPINIONS about naturopathic

medicine. I had to respond to your post, since I thought it was one-sided.

I had chronic fatigue syndrome in '86. Conventional medicine had nothing to

offer me.

I was not getting better. I flew to Dallas to see a famous constitutional

Homeopathic doctor. He studied homeopathy with the doctors in England who treat

the Royal Family. In a week I was out of bed, and I just kept getting better

with homeopathy. My conventional doctors were shocked. My family was thrilled.

I have a cousin who just died of deadly pancreatic cancer. She went the

conventional medicine route, got poisoned with chemo., radiated, and poisoned

more, for 3 horrible years, she deteriorated steadily, until she died at age 51.

I tried to get her to go to N.Y.C. to a 1.5 million $$ GOVERNMENT FUNDED

CLINICAL TRIAL, offerred by a M.D. who is so successful treating pancreatic

cancer ALTERNATIVELY, with natural methods such as detox, supplements, enzymes,

and diet, that HIS SURVIVAL RATE is 3 times greater than the conventional

medicine survival rate !!!

I am a massage therapist/ M.Ed. educator, and have read in the field of

alternative medicine/holistic health for 30 years. In MY humble opinion,

Chinese medicine, (which is thousands of years old), Naturopathic medicine,

Homeopathic Medicine, and Ayurvedic medicine offer far more to people, without

the dangerous side effects of allopathic drugs, which cause so many iatrogenic

(drug-induced) illnesses that they have to have disclaimers on the drug

commercials on TV. warning people of serious side effects !!!

I have read so many testimonials thru the years about how alternative medicine

has healed / cured people, that i now know WHY THE HEAD OF SLOAN KETTERING

MEMORIAL CANCER HOSPITAL, SENT HIS OWN WIFE to a famous German cancer clinic for

natural, alternative cancer treatment !!!!!, ... not covered by American

insurance, of course, but HE KNEW his wife's life would be saved, and she would

be taught how to prevent cancer there....I've done lots of research thru the

years. For real eye openers, read 'THE CANCER INDUSTRY', and 'Questioning

Chemotherapy' by Ralph Moss. Carla, the whole world is awakening to

alternative medicine, and it's about time !!! Dr. Tori Hudson's Naturopathic

Clinic in Portland Oregon, is being studied/funded by the NIH, for their great

success reversing cervical cancer NATUROPATHICALLY. Also, the Cancer Treatment

Centers of America employ Naturopathic Doctors. I belong to 'People Against

Cancer', a non-profit, run by a very smart man, Wiewal, who started the

department of Alternative Medicine in Washington D.C., which matches people up

with the best alternative treatments for their particular type of cancer. I

Clearly, PREVENTION is the key, which all alternative medicine modalities teach.

Conventional medicine has its place for sure, and I am very thankful to be

having a myo. soon.
