You don't know the half of it.

ONE college story.

My freshman year, one of the guys across the hall in the dorm had a

real " sleep-in " problem. He simply could NOT drag his sorry fanny

out of bed for any class that started before 10:00. About the time

he was in serious danger of flunking his 9:00 for non-attendance, he

literally begged several of us to help him. Part of his problem was

that you could wake him up and carry on a conversation with him yet

he wouldn't really be awake (I personally saw him more than once

discuss calculus assignments with someone when he for all practical

purposes was out cold).

Well, one morning a couple of us not only woke him up, we actually

got him out of bed and moving around. That was as much as we could

do because we had to head off to class ourselves. That evening, he

tore off on all of us with a first class rant about not waking him

up.

Enough was enough. The next morning, four of us went into his room,

grabbed his mattress, folded him up in it, and marched him out the

door, down the hall, and out onto the lawn in front of the dorm ...

right along one of the main campus roads. We left him there in the

warm spring sunshine.

When he finally did " wake up " he was about ten feet from his

mattress, walking across the lawn in his underwear.

Care to guess what he called us that night?
