Guest guest
I just called them to ask about it. I'm thinking this would be great for . She could rest when she needs to. She has difficulty retaining information. She has ADD. If she could take open book tests, that would be great. It sounds so easy. All the curiculum is layed out for you. It is accredited. You get a diploma - it's not a GED. You can finish as quickly as you want. It's cheap - only $600.00 for the full 3 year course. Just a $39.00 down payment, and $32.00 a month. That's amazing. They said lots of parents who are sick and tired of the schools and want to home school their kids use this program. You don't have to " teach " them, it's all layed out for them, and you just help them when they need it. I've been thinking there should be a company that offers this. Here's your curiculum, you do it. No worries about what they have to learn, getting the proper books and assignments - that I couldn't do. Then she could still go hang out with her friends on good days after they get out of school. I wouldn't have the school breathing down my back, not getting the proper make up work when she's not there. The whole communication thing with teachers is a nightmare. I don't know from day to day if she's gotten the work she's suppose to get. Half of the stuff she misses is from videos they watched in class, so she has to stay after a lot to watch them. Well, you know, it's all just a huge mess, that I can't figure out. couldn't do it yet, but in another year he would probably love it. He hates the big full classrooms. Before we moved here, he did all his schooling in England at a very posh private school. Small class sizes. Very disciplined. He HATES all the noise and inturruptions, and all the kids. I'm so glad you told me about this. Now, I gotta talk with Tom and about it. It's a big step, and a bit scary, but I think it would be so great to at least try. She's really not learning anything now. With her ADD, the one on one approach would be so much better for her. She even said it herself - that when I taught her the chapter in her history book when she had the home health tutor, she understood it better, and got a great grade on the test. That just goes to prove that she's not getting the education from her dumb school that she could be getting. uugghh! I say again. I HATE the school. screw em, I say!
