I'm so glad for so many reasons that you are going.

I'm so happy that Dylan is doing better. You'll be flying into Buffalo. I

don't think you'll need a car. You won't need to call the hotel, becuase Aase

Marit already has the reservation, she'll just have to add your full name to

the room reservation. And all the rest of the info will be in Loose

Connections on ednf.org &,a special mailing from the EDNF about the conference,

etc.

etc. Don't worry, you'll be an expert in no time. You will also receive

airline

info soon too. Hang on to your socks!!! You'll be a pro in no time.

Get ready for the most unbelievable experience of your life!!! You'll be

getting all of the answers to all of your questions very shortly. I only have a

minute & don't know if Aase will see this immediately & I can " hear " that you

are just jumping out of your skin. So, because of the time difference &

because you hadn't said anything in the subject line @ Aase Marit & her needing

a

roommate, just in case she doesn't see it, I'm going out on a limb here, but can

only be 99.9% sure & I'm only doing this, because I know you are obviously

dying to know a bunch of things.

Aase & I spoke online a short time ago, just before she went away & is going

to be away for the weekend in Oslo at another conference & I don't know if she

will see this right away. But I do know that we had just discussed that she

needs a new roomate, because another girl that now cannot come with her from

Norway because she is having a thumb fusion,, she will need another roommate &

a smoker. We had even discussed that it's not very often that hotels in the

U.S. even have smoking rooms anymore, but she managed to get one, I think she

said because it was the last handicapped smoking room (so you got really,

really lucky) or something like that. I can go back & see if I can find the

copy

of her email, it was probably from last night. I know she asked for 2 beds &

I couldn't get her to " get it " about the difference between single size & a

double beds, so she may think that a double bed just means a bed for one person!

But I suggested that she put a note on CEDA, ond ednf.org & everywhere

else. I haven't heard a word from her about getting a roomate. There really

wouldn't have been time, so I'm glad you saw it right away. It will work out

great for both of you.

Aase Marit & I have been soooooooooo close for so many years & even call each

other " Sis " . She is so much fun & just a great gal. She has spent time at

my house previously & will be coming home with me to NJ again after the

conference this year. I think she's been to at least 2 or 3 conferences before

this

one. And, she is coming to the US @ a week early & staying with another

absolutely great gal, with me also, so we can help set up. There's an amazing

group putting this conference together in Buffalo & Sue has been so hospitable,

that she's going to put up with both of us for a bit before we all check into

the hotel! I just can't wait until her amazing hubby finds out that he's going

to have to escort 3 lovely ladies while we are there! I think maybe we won't

tell him yet... Nah, he's really just great!

So, Aase Marit will already be there whenever you get there & are ready to

check in. I know I worked with her with her reservations & if I remember

correctly, her room is booked from July 13 to July 19. I don't know if that is

set

in stone, as you have 24 hours before each reservation day to cancel, if need

be. But, she will be in town anyway beforehand & believe me, you will be one

lucky gal, not only to be going to your first conference, but to have Aase

Marit also!!! I can't guarantee that you will get any sleep though! And I

don't

want to be held responsible if, at the end of the conference, you say that

you never were able to sleep, because you never stopped laiughing! Aase is so

much fun & just so nice you won't believe it...... I don't know if she

notified anyone else yet that she was looking, but actually I guess she did put

a

notice on CEDA or else you wouldn't know aobut this.... DUHHHH!

Well, anyway, I will also write to her to let her know, if you haven't

already & we all can't wait to meet you. Have a safe trip & be ready for the

time

of your life & to part of the most wonderful family that you could have ever

Oh, also, you may want to send her a note personally, straight to her email

address, to let her know. I just didn't want you to be concerned if you don't

hear back from her until she get's back, I think on Monday. Her email address

And if you REALLY want " to get to her " , she is absolutely crazy in love with

her little Yorkie, Peanut. So, if you want to, just to be kind of funny, you

can send her a copy of Peanut and tell her that Peanut sent you an email,

asking if you would watch out for her Mommy while she is at the conference. If

you

know Aase, you would understand. I think this little doggie has more

clothing than I do!
