Guest guest
if you can find a holistic md near you. there is a lemon olive oil regimen that works very well in flushing out these stones, but it is critical because of 's age and sensitivities that this be monitored. Also, it's not recommended if there's a stone that could get lodged in a duct, so the opinion of an experienced dr is probably vital in your case. Guest guest
Hi Kathy, I can share with you my experience as an adult having had this surgery. I had gall stones and suffered occasional attacks for a couple of years until I couldn't bear it any more. They are EXTREMELY painful. My doctor told me that removing the stones is pointless, as they will usually re-occur. I had laproscopic surgery to remove my gall bladder. The surgery required 4 small incisions in my abdomen. I was home the next day and feeling fine. While any surgery is frightening, this is a relatively easy procedure to endure. Warm wishes to you and your family, [ ] My 5 Year Old Needs Gallbladder Surgery- Need Suggestions Hello Everyone, I've been on this list for years but only rarely post. My 5 year old daughter has been chelating for 2 years. We use Andy's protocol. Feeling that her progress was too slow, we requested a case review. This prompted recommendation for quite a few tests. We are very glad we did this because an ultrasound of her abdomen revealed an enlarged gallbladder caused by a partial blockage of the cystic duct.I would imagine she has stones. Her doctor has recommended we see a surgeon. She likely has this problem for a long time. She never reports abdominal pain but has had pale stools for years. She has taken milk thistle, taurine, and glycine, for at least 2 years, but these have had no effect on improving bile flow, in her case. I am very concerned about her loosing her gallbladder. She also has many allergies and chemical sensitivities, so surgery is frightening. I understand that stones can be surgically retrieved without removing the gallbladder. Does anyone have a pediatric gastroenterologist who they feel would be sensitive to the needs of our kids. We live in the northeast but would be willing to travel anywhere within reason. Any other thoughts or suggestions regarding this would be welcome. Please contact me on or off list. I will also share the outcome of this so that everyone can benefit from what we learn. Guest guest
, I don't know anything about your situation, but I've seen evidence that over 95% of galbladder surgery is inappropriately diagnosed, and a better solution is colonics or liver detox. Hi Kathy, Interesting that you wrote about this today--- I just had a long conversation about Traditional Chinese Medicine, and used examples about gallbladder surgery. My understanding (which is shallow) is that this sort of surgery is quite rare in China, because TCM has less invasive means for treating issues like this. Also, because many/most people get regular acupunture, they are unlikely to have a condition develop to an acute stage. I would suggest that you consult with an experienced TCM practitioner, ideally someone who works regularly with kids. I don't have a directory to refer you to, but would be willing to see if I can help find a referral or source of info, if you are interested and can't find someone by inquiring locally. good wishes, Moria
