Guest guest
Hi, Thanks for all of your responses. It helps to know that I'm not the only one to have had such a bad experience, even though I sure wouldn't wish it on anyone. At the appt., I was so astounded that I pretty much just sat there and didn't say anything - no quick comebacks for sure. I don't know how to approach the subject with my internist on Tues. In the past year, he's sent me to an ortho, a chiro, a physical therapist, taken me on and off medications to see if they were causing problems (I'm on blood thinners due to 2 incidences of pulmonary embolisms), run tests, and then, finally sent me to the Rheumy. I'm afraid that he'll just think I'm neurotic or a hypochondriac. I've only been seeing him for a year, so it's not like he knew me before all of this developed. Also, if I go in there on a good day (I've been feeling better lately), I have " pain amnesia. " Well, I guess I'll just wing it and see where it goes. Maybe I just have lots of different things going on in my body (osteoarthritis in many joints???) by coincidence and there isn't a link to tie them together. Taking Bextra certainly helps, but I've had various sources tell me different things about whether it is safe to take it being on blood thinners. I'm taking it every other day now. Well, I've rambled on enough! Thanks for listening! I'll let you know what the doctor has to say on Tues. Meanwhile, enjoy the weekend! I'm getting the house ready for my mother-in-law's visit! Yikes! Hugs, Sherry
