, if your creatinine was lower in the past I would definitely question my rheumatologist about that. 2.7 creatinine is way above normal. The normal range is up to 1. A bit of dehydration would not have such a large variation from a normal reading. When my creatinine started going over 1 my nephrologist was checking it every single month and in 3 months I almost qualified for dialysis, I was 3.8 and going strong.

I don't mean to scare you sweetie, but especially since you mention nephrologist saying your kidneys have been compromised in the past that is pretty serious business. Please speak with you doctor about it, I do not like this reading of your kidney function. I would request a repeat creatinine count and soon too. I understand that you are allergic to many medications, but maybe they can do something else nowadays that can help your kidneys.

I'm just trying to watch out for you, so please forgive me for butting in.

HI Mojo,

I don't mind you butting in at all .....in fact I'm glad you did.....the problem is that I don't have a Rheumatologist right now .....My Primary care Doc. is the one who had the tests done.....and I'm waiting for the Rheumatologist to call me with an appointment.....when He gets the labs....and office notes from my Primary Doc......then reviews them ......I feel like I'm applying for a job!.......right now I'm just in sort of a limbo.....waiting.....

I am supposed to go back next Monday to my Primary Doc. to get my blood pressure checked to make sure the decrease in my blood pressure meds. is not going to be a problem.....I will ask him about it then .

Thanks for the heads up!

C.
