Guest guest
Hi, all~ Well, I made it through my California business trip just fine. As I suspected, my fears were mostly unfounded. I was very concerned about being able to stay on program (and stay satisfied) with the many, MANY corporate functions I had to attend. But I did it, and I'm better for it. I got up every morning at 5:45 and walked for at least 50 minutes. The weather was phenomenal. It was so hard to come back to Ohio after that. It really compelled me to get out and walk. A lot. I also tried to incorporate activity into my afternoon/evening activities. In total, I actually earned 34 AP's last week. They came in handy because I used them to cover the excesses of living in a hotel. Don't get me wrong--I stayed perfectly on program (except for a few missed milks on two days), but it's hard to stay fulfilled and eat out three meals a day (for me at least--I'm a bulk eater). I weighed in yesterday and I lost 2 pounds this week. YAY!! I'm so pleased with the way I handled this trip that I'm more excited now than when I hit the 50 pounds lost mark. Really, it was the exercise that was key. The fact that I hauled myself out of bed every morning really set the stage for my day. Thanks to everyone for your support. Sherri, I used the old PDA tracker with no problem at all. It came in so handy because I actually left my WW books at home! The horror!! It all worked out though.
