Guest guest
Aw yes, the other side of the coin. There are always two sides aren't there. As they say.....You can't please all the people all the time. There is no perfect world. If only..... Karol To Karol - Ant vs Grasshopper The real end to the story is, even though the ant lost the case, he gotto go to a hot foreign country (He was a member of the National Guard)to fight for Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness, as he atesand, defended oil wells, blew up hospitals, and got a Purple Heart fortaking a bullet in the leg. All the time wondering how our oil gotunder their sand and what was the point ? After all, at home hard workdidn't seem to pay off although Walmart did offer $5.50 per hour andshowed employees how to get food stamps. The national surplus was now adeficit, jobs were going to China, and layoffs continued by thehundreds, gasoline was up to $1.70 per gal, and sick people couldn'tget medicine because they had no medical insurance. Still, it was theUSA and it was HIS country the ant thought. Hope the VA will take careof my leg. Thank God it wasn't Agent Orange that got me. Hi Mom, HiDad, I'll be home soon I hope. They're making me sign up for anotheryear though. Put in an application for me at Walmart. Love, Ant, Jr.PS: Is Grasshopper still Governor? Moral of the story: Vote. But think first. Guest guest
Hey, since when do people feel they need to apologize to me for catching my typos???? That is so funny. But please continue... you can apologize all you want. I would still check your eyes to see if it is something else, but it just might be prednisone. Time is also flying for me and I constantly forget my refills, but thankfully I have Walgreen's on my husbands way home. I call it in and he picks it up. Mojo BURSTED BLOOD VESSELS IN EYES? Greetings Fellow Lupies, I have a question......Do any of you ever get bursted blood vessels in your eyes? ...This has happened to me 3 times now.......I wake up in the morning and look in the mirror to see a pool of blood in my eye.....(not the same eye each time )......The first time it happened it scared the crap out of me.....I put in an emergency call to my opthalmologist, and he told me what it was from my decription of it......and said that it could be caused by rubbing my eye too hard. He said that he has known it to happen from a "hard sneeze!" and that there was nothing to do but to wait and the blood would be re obsorbed in a few days. It doesn't hurt , and it doesn't affect my vision......and it always goes away like he said it would . These experiences happened a few years apart each time.....so it not like its a constant thing.....I just wondered how common this is.......this is the 4th day and I can see some of the white returning to my eye. Guest guest
Hey great Lonewolf, I too have been missing. We had a bad storm and lost power for several days, then Yahoo was wierd, and then I was helping my Mother pack and move and unpack. I just got back in here on Sat. and have been trying to catch up with all our newbies and what is happening with everyone. Sorry to hear about your daughter's problems. Hope the surgery makes her more comfortable. I'll bet you don't have too much trouble with that 12 year old granddaughter. With all the neat things you are going on the computer now the two of you ought to be able to do some fund things there. How bout letting her bake cookies or brownies or something like that. 12 year olds love that. Anyway, glad you are around and I look forward to getting periodic updates. barb Carey wrote: Hi C, Yes there were many people without power, but I was not one of them.I didn't even have a flicker......while my Daughter was without power for many hours, and others in the southern part of Arlington were without power for days!' There was a tornado in the southwest part of Arlington, I live in the northeast portion of town.....We did get some heavy rainfall and flashflooding. Thanks for checking on me, I have not been online very much the last few days...my daughter has been in the hospital for a hernia operation......when they went in to repair the first hernia, they found 3 more. She is doing well, and expects to come home tomorrow. I have had my 12 yr.old grand daughter staying with me while she is in the hospital, and she has been keeping me busy trying to keep her from being bored to death......not much to do at my house for a 12 yr. old. I did take her down to the swimming pool one day just as the sun sank below the horizon, and I sat on a chaise lounge while she swam for about an hour.....till the mosquitos started nibbling on me! C. To C. - Dallas weather , . . . I read in the Houston paper that Arlington had some severeweather Thurs night. High winds, rain, and a tornado or two. Manypeople lost their power so I've wondered if you are okay and stayingcool? Maybe you were lucky and your place suffered no harm. Yourentire area must have had some horrendous weather. Our daily heat indexhere in Houston runs around 105 to 110 at this time of year. Losing A/Ccan be brutal. I know the Dallas area gets some pretty hairy summertemps also. Hope all is well with you.
