RHEUMATOID ARTHRITIS INCREASED RISK OF HEART FAILURE LINK

Patients with rheumatoid arthritis have an increased risk of developing

heart failure, research suggests.

A study of 13,171 patients with rheumatoid arthritis and 2,568 patients with

osteoarthritis found heart failure in 3.9 per cent of rheumatoid arthritis

patients compared with 2.3 per cent of those with osteoarthritis.
