Re: local anaesthetics?DENTAL ANESTHESIA..EPIDURALS?Uterine

rupture?

When I was pregnant with I always measured several weeks BIGGER than

they had expected. I also looked 2 months more pregnant thatn I really was. At 7

months everyone thought I was 9 months! The OBGYN always asked if I was certain

about the date I got pregnant! Didn't know about the EDS then either. was

9 lbs 1.5 oz when delivered after 32 hours of labor! Ouch ouch ouch... I had

Nubain IV but it didn't do anything for me! I had a hypotonic uterine

dysfunction - the cervix wouldn't dilate so they gave me pitocin too which

didn't do much. Talk about having to push for over 3 hours! I also had a

cervical cap that the nurse had to try to stretch. My water broke early so I had

to go to the hospital ASAP because I was 33 years old at the time and the alpha

fetal protein was " off " so I was considered high risk. After was born,

and they had stitched me up, etc (I could feel the stitches too because the shot

didn't work), and they tried to straighten out my legs when they took my feet

out of the stirrups, boy did *I* scream in pain!!!! It was almost as bad as

delivering that huge kid!! My legs had locked up. I also ended up having to

have PT/ultrasound on my shoulders as those muscles had locked up too.

Of course, my OBGYN had started her vacation the night before my water broke,

so I had a stooooopid OBGYN that was really nasty to me and made me go thru the

whole natural labor.
