Guest guest
Just got back from NY from my nephrologist. I'm wiped out and need to take a nap, but just wanted to let you guys know I won't be doing chemo anymore. That's 18 months later. I'm very happy. There is definite kidney damage, but it's not as much as they had expected it to be. He says he will be watching me closely and at the first glance of a "blip" in my creatinine or protein he is inclined to put me on Cellcept. He says if that happens, it'll probably be for the rest of my life as they cannot risk another flare such as the last one. So I'm really, really happy and want to thank all of you who have "held my hand" throughout the course. I will definitely write to Mukund. although he is no longer with our group, I will never forget how much he helped me when chemo was so new to me and so terrifying. Now I'm going to sleep.
