Guest guest
I have been hired for a position at a hospital that I used to work for when I was pregnant with my ASD son. They wanted a copy of my current immunizations. I kindly reminded them that in 2000 they drew my titers, and should have the records. What I did not volunteer is that at the time the results came back that I needed an MMR booster. I also will be asked to have the Hepatitis B vaccination. (I was pregnant and would not take it while I was pregnant) Are these vaccinations mercury free now? What should I look for on the packages to make sure they are? Are there places to purchase these vaccinations without mercury? As an adult should I worry about the MMR combination and have them separately? Any advice and help would be appreciated. I do need the job to help fund all of our medical supps and dietary intervention, so turning it down would be a hardship. I am also currently enrolled in classes for nursing so I would have to have these immunizations eventually, it just seems now is going to be the time I address these issues. Guest guest
>>at the time the results came back that I needed an MMR > booster. Did you need MMR, or just one of the components? >>I also will be asked to have the Hepatitis B vaccination. (I was > pregnant and would not take it while I was pregnant) > > Are these vaccinations mercury free now? MMR never contained mercury, but it is a live virus. You might want to test your own metal levels before agreeing to it. HepB is available now WITH and WITHOUT mercury. Be sure to check the package insert http://www.vaccinesafety.edu/thi-table.htm >>What should I look for on the > packages to make sure they are? Read the label and see what is used as a preservative. >>Are there places to purchase these > vaccinations without mercury? Check chart I linked above for manufacturers. Your hospital should be able to order whichever one/s you decide. As an adult should I worry about the MMR > combination and have them separately? If you are high-metal, then yes. You can also ask whether or not you are permitted to waive the vax. I don't know how it works for professionals in the field. Dana

If there is thimerosal then that is mercury. As far as I am aware, if the word thimerosal is not present then there is no mercury. Do this for EACH vaccine. > Are there places to purchase these > vaccinations without mercury? As an adult should I worry about the MMR > combination and have them separately? I suppose it depends upon your immune system and how much of an immune challenge you wish to give your immune system to deal with. good wishes, Moria
Guest guest
Make sure you check the box! Dr. Geier said the pharma companies found out that they were telling people to check the label, so they moved it to the box (which often gets thrown away!) As he said, " They are playing Russian Roulette with our children's lives. Guest guest
Becca, check over this site and see if any contraindications fit you, and also scroll down to see the list of ingredients/brand names. Here is the link: http://www.cdc.gov/nip/recs/contraindications.htm You will have to scroll down about halfway to a chart where they list vax ingredients. Wherever you see " thimerosal " with the * mark, that means it has 3 micrograms or less in it. If you see just thimerosal with no asterisk mark, then it has the full amount-- 25 micrograms.
