NOW WHAT DO I DO/ CALLED NEPHROLOGIST

Hello Fellow Lupies....

Thank God for my Nephrologist.......I finally called his office this morning in

hysterics, after trying to get past my Primary Doc's Freakin' voice mail to let them know that I couldn't get past the Rheumatologis Freakin' voice mail!!

The phone was answered by a `Real Person'......and asked if I could speak to a `real Person'.....the doctor wasn't in yet....but the receptionist said that I could talkd to his Nurse Practitioner......who is a` real person.'......And she called me back within 5 minutes

I explained what was going on, and that I was afraid that ~These Jerks~ were going to let me crash.

She is calling in a script for Prednisone for me, and it will have enough refills to last untill I supposedly get to see the Rheumatologist......She assured me that they would not leave me hanging!!

This is the last Doctor in the Network of Osteopathic Doctors that used to treat me. I don't know why he hasn't dropped my insurance like all the others did......he told me at my last vist last month that he thought the other doctors had " cut off their nose, to spite their face." when they dropped my insurance co.

All I know is that I still have ONE Doctor and his staff who treat me as a HUMAN BEING.....and I get to talk to a real Person, instead of those damned voice mail recordings.

I am totally exhausted, and emotionally drained, and hurt all over, and I need a shower REAL BAD.....It will be after 6:00 p.m. before my PCP's nurse returns my call.....and I will let her know that she doesn't need to be concerned with anything except to make sure that The new Rheumatologist gets me set up with an appt.

Now I have an appointment with my PCP next week for a routine " girly" check up.....and if It wasn't for the fact that I have been having some pains in those "Girly Parts" I am so disgusted with him, I would cancel. But even if he doesn't care about my health....I'm not ready to throw in the towel yet and stop taking care of my self as best I can.

Now my Shower is calling me.....

I'm so sorry to hear how much trouble you are having. I think you

should look your doctor in the eye and ask him why he became a

doctor. I bet it wasn't to have patients call a recording and then

get no treatment. Give him the " what-for " . You're his boss. Don't

forget that.
