my brother has lupus (i'm new): need help

hi everybody, i'm sorry to barge in on your group like this but i am

hoping someone here can help me. my brother has lupus, he's had it

for a long time (20 years) and he is very very ill right now. he got

a bad infection that spiraled out of control. he's in the hospital on

a ventilator. my concern right now is for my parents, especially my

mom who is a basket case right now. oh, i forgot to mention, he's

bipolar,too. i want to find a support group for my mom, she's never

been able to go to counseling or anything like that, but she uses her

computer a lot so i thought a support group might be a good way for

her to connect. Anyway, from what i understand, its not very common

for guys to have lupus and it manifests differently in guys too. i

could be wrong, but it looks like everyone here is female. not that

it really matters, but i'm trying to find the right group for mom.

can anyone help me? i would really appreciate any suggestions or

advice.
