Guest guest
Betty, I wanted to let you know of my minimal experience using Polarity, etc. Mike wrote a post to the list in response to a members knee difficulty. Among the possible suggestion was polarity therapy and how it's done. Since my right knee in particular is getting to the point a TKR (Total Knee Replacement) could happen at any time, I wanted some way to have it be more comfortable-rather than undergoing surgery at this time. (or anytime if I can help it!!) I've been neutral about any type of alternative therapies-for no reason in particular. I've heard good results from people, but never got around to checking into it. But the day Mike wrote in, my knee was really giving me a hassle.(that's an understatement) I decided what the heck-I'll give it a shot. If it doesn't work-no big deal. When I gave it a try, and it worked---and it worked sooo well, I was literally dumb-founded. I even wrote Mike and asked if I was feeling what I should have been feeling, or did I imagine it? (I have a vivid imagination.) At the time I first tried it, I was in PT for 'piriformus syndrome'-(a muscle in the buttock spasms from my hip slipping forward- and this muscle put pressure on the sciatic nerve.) It felt better each time I did polarity. What surprised me the most was when I was working on a hip/knee area, my knee all of a sudden popped, and I felt it go back where it belonged! It's starting to bother me again, so I'm working on it again. It's been far more effective than Percocet had been. Seems it gets to the problem rather than merely covering it up. By working with the knee on my own, I've been able to finally do the simple exercises to strengthen the area around my knee. I hope you can get some needed relief! Blessings, CindyH Wisc. From: mikeuggen To: Betty I am the one who recommended that Lana get an appointment with you. (clip) The results I have seen using things like Polarity and Acupressure have simply floored me. I get results using them (as I am sure you do also), that simply are not possible with more conventional approaches.
