,

I was diagnosed with Lupus about six months ago and my main issues are sore

and swollen joints, mouth sores and extreme fatigue. I get the facial rash

every once in a while. Anyway I've been taking Imuran for five of those six

months along with Prednisone. So far the side effects and scary reactions

haven't occurred. I've been able to get the Prednisone down to 5 mg a day.

For what it's worth it may help you too, although I know everyone is

different.

I do know how you feel about thinking it's all in your head. Before a

diagnosis I was beginning to think I was crazy, all these tests and

everything was coming back " normal " .

Good Luck

blood tests, but I have pluerisy often , mouth sores, sore joints, fatigue,

red face, and Raynaud's. I started to take Plaquenil two years agao and

seemed to manage well with that and pain meds. In this past FEb I had an

incident with not being able to breath, It feels like a knife in my lungs. I

was then put on steroids. I cannot seem to get off the steroids without

going back to where I was with the lung pain. Now they want to start me on

Imuran, It looks like a scary drug. I still kind of feel like maybe this is

something else? Has anyone else gone through anything like this? Plus with

this flare none of my blood test come back showing anything. Is this in my

head?
