It appears both my parents have EDS, definitely on Dad's side, and highly likely on mom's. (since I saw the genetic doctor last there's more history that leads me to think it's more on the definite side that both sides have it. On Dad's side the relatives with EDS have the physical appearance of a person with ty pe lV, but there's scanty history of organ rupture or dissecting aneurysms. there's a history of strokes at a young age, without high blood pressure being a factor. Also shows MVP (nearly 100% of those with EDS signs have this) Also rather severe hypermobility. But mom's side is the one with early onset of varicosities along with rather mild hypermobility, flat feet, thoracic outlet syndrome , plus a history of such things as the intestine telescoping on itself, and also the intestine twisting around itself.
