Actually, I can think of three cases where this has happened. I don't remember

the details though, just that it occurred.

Hi Barb and .

It appears both my parents have EDS, definitely on Dad's side, and highly likely

on mom's. (since I saw the genetic doctor last there's more history that leads

me to think it's more on the definite side that both sides have it.

On Dad's side the relatives with EDS have the physical appearance of a person

with ty pe lV, but there's scanty history of organ rupture or dissecting

aneurysms. there's a history of strokes at a young age, without high blood

pressure being a factor. Also shows MVP (nearly 100% of those with EDS signs

have this) Also rather severe hypermobility.

But mom's side is the one with early onset of varicosities along with rather

mild hypermobility, flat feet, thoracic outlet syndrome , plus a history of such

things as the intestine telescoping on itself, and also the intestine twisting

around itself.
