Guest guest
Hi Cindys!!! :0 Can you remind me what polarity is for sure? ---------------------------------- I'm not a Cindy but since I started the whole Polarity thing on the list to begin with, I will jump in. Cindy H is referring primarily to the X technique, with some hand placement variations tossed in that she and I have gone over off list. Cindy C is also referring to the X technique but also to some additional " balancing " releases. When I was back in Detroit we did some full body work on Dylan as well, both acupressure and polarity. What is Polarity used for? There are a whole bunch of things you can use it for. Specifically, I use it personally for pain management with any joint. I also use it to treat sublux or separation problems and routinely put ribs back in and do minor spinal adjustments with it. These uses, however, are just the tip of the iceberg as to what you can do with it. Very briefly for now, things like acupuncture, acupressure, shiatsu and Thai massage all work with the meridian structure of traditional Chinese medicine. Polarity works with this structure as well but it is more focused on the Chakra energy structure of the Indian Ayurvedic tradition. One simple way to describe it is that acupuncture and acupressure are the bodywork pieces of traditional Chinese medicine and Polarity is the bodywork piece of Ayurvedic medicine. Guest guest
THANKS, Mike! I really do want to make sure I'm doing the X technique correctly. By the way, when my Mike was doing the stuff you sent to me, in only a couple days, I was doing so much better! So THANK YOU again!!!! Is what he was doing the X technique? I think it was, but I'm not sure. You sent me some numbers of where he should put his fingers. Mike, you sure are a wealth of information and a God send! Thanks again!
