question for women with pseudotumor

Hi Girls:

I need to know can a pseudotumor affect your cycle? My periods use to come every

28 days like it was supposed to. Now it comes like every 22 days. This has just

started within the last 5 months or so. Does anyone else have the problem of it

being irregular??? The cycle itself is normal just when it comes is NOT and it

is driving my hubby UP A WALL......ROFLMAO ;-)))

Dear Vicki and the rest of the Chiari " girls " ,

I have had psuedotumor for 31 years. Except for a time between the

age of 17 to 22 and I mysteriously did not have a menstrual cycle,

my cycles have been fairly regular at about 28 days. Occassionaly,

I would be late, then the following cycle would be early, then the next

on time.

In June, I had a " surprise " cycle, just 15 days after the last. Now

my cycles are at 25 days, and heavier. Oddly enough, the day that I

get my period...no headaches. But the day before, and the day after...

back to the usual.

My PCP ordered an ultrasound, and a transvaginal ultrasound and a polyp

was found. I don't know yet if this is what is affecting my periods, or if it

is just the increase in symptoms that I am having. I am having a hard time

getting my local nsg to evaluate aggresivly on the PTC issue. I had an

lp done last month, and the opening pressure was 200. The LP was done

on a day when I got my cycle, and had no headaches.

I have an appointment with my neuro opth next week. My nsg is waiting

to see what to do from the results of this appointment.
