Use of vitamin A supplementation by postmenopausal women is a marker for

excessive intake of vitamin A, which is associated with a 20% increase in

risk of hip fracture, according to a study reported here at Preventive

Medicine 2004, the annual meeting of the American College of Preventive

Medicine (ACPM).
