Guest guest
Cortisol did the same to me after about 7 months. in Va. I think I have a big problem with water retention . My feet , ankles and lower legs are blown up , hard , and hurt , and the circulation doesn't pass any more . I often don't feel my feet/legs any more . It also feels very heavy . And it hurts . I feel like I'm wearing boots full of water . I have a bit the same feeling in my arms , but not as bad . In the legs it's really scary , I discovered it yesterday , but it must have been going on for some days allready , but yesterday I saw it , it really shows , my legs are all blown up , as high as one wears socks . This morning in bed I touched it and it was much less hard , like the water had run out and went elsewhere . And when I got up it was back . It hurts when I stand on my feet . When I sit ( I sit on the floor ) my feet/legs regularly fall asleep , like the water blocks the circulation . Also today it seems that it hurts up until the knees , while yesterday it was as high as one wears socks . It frightens me !!! It's not just an esthetic problem , which would not be urgent . It really sacres me ! If it goes on like this , I will be paralised by this flood of water completely in a few days !!!!!! Is it the aldosteron ? Cortisol ? Doc prescribed estrogen , progesteron , testosteron , and cortisol 25 and aldosterone 125 . I was still fainting with that , and close to call the emergency . So he upped the aldosterone to 250 . The fainting was much better after that , though it is still there . There are still days where I have to stay on the floor , I can't stand up or I get unconcious . So apparently I need the aldosterone . My lab test on aldosterone was catastrophic : 18 ( 22 - 189 ) ---- But if it is slowly killing me ... ???? What can I do ????? If I don't take it , or take less I get terrible malaises and fall unconcious , and if I take it ..... is it the aldosterone which blows me up like that ??? Or is it cortisol ???? I never had water retention befor . Not in all my life as far as I remember . Progesterone helps with water retention , doesn't it ?? I can not take mine ! I don't tolerate it . I started with low dose natural progesterone cream which I had at home . Very low dose . Tolerated it well . Then I got my meds and added estrogen . Tolerated well . Then passed from my low dose progesteron cream to the synthetic oral the doc had prescribed . DISASTER ! Went back to my cream . Tried a second time the prescribed ... second disaster !! Couple days later I tried a third time and allmost died from it . Now I don't take it any more . I try to get along with my low dose stuff , but it's not enough to balance the estrogen and I have all symptoms of estrogen dominance . Especially my breasts hurt badly . So I cut down the estrogen , as I am unable to increase the progesteron . I tried to take more of my low dose stuff , but I can't take much more of it either , as then I get problems of a different kind . ( it makes me faint . The prescribed synthetic gives me terrible accelerations ) I'm stuck in the middle of nowhere and don't know what to do !! Maybe progesterone , if I could take it , would help a bit , but something must have GIVEN me this water retention , I never had it befor . Has anyone been in such a situation ?? It really scares me ! It hurts and it gets allways worse and allways higher full of water !! I feel like I will drown in it very soon , or rather it will kill me from lack of blood circulation . It's not just an estetic problem . Anyway that doesn't show now in winter . My eyes are blown up too . Like being very hypothyroid . Within a week I suddenly look 20 years older . Bags under the eyes . All of a sudden . But I didn't change anything to my dose of thyroid . And I don't see how I could be more hypo , I thought adding cortisol does rather increase the effect of thyroid , not the contrary ! I take 25 mg cortisol . I know that people blow up from cortisol , but in big doses ! I can't imagine that 25 does that to me !!! But the dose of aldosterone is quite big ....... But if I need it ?????? So I have the choice between death and death .... !? I'm scared !!!! It's " only " water retention , but it progresses so fast and so strong that it's scary !!! Especially if you are in the body that is being choked . I also put on 5 pounds in one week . All of a sudden . Didn't have a weight problem befor . It must be all this water ...... Almost don't feel my legs while I'm writing ...... ne , scared .... http://www.geocities.com/thyroide
