Guest guest
i can possibly help having done the ATTT route, markell problems and mitchell shoes, sorry im typing one handed bouncing a boy right now s. An idea - any takers? OK - I'm sure everyone is aware of the tips post I send now and then. I would really like to see it expanded and more comprehensive. I think the best way to do that is to incorporate other parent's experiences and suggestions of what worked for them and present that to people who need help. I would like to see it turned into a file or message that is automatically sent to the lists every couple of weeks or something like that. So that as people come here they can read something *before* they're needing help with a fussy baby and all that goes with it. I would like to see it more like a commentary between parents with comments about previous tips or suggestions how to make a previous tip easier or whatever. Just take what I've got written and add to it what you think you want to tell parents. Kind of like if it was being discussed on the list with various posters comments. I think it would be a great idea to have one for bracing (maybe two - one for the Markell shoes and one for shoes), one for casting & tenotomy, one with an updated Ponseti dr. list, one for relapses, one for overseas parents, one with tips about surgery and recovery, one with studies either linked or in the body (?), and one with links to clubfoot websites so people can just click away without having to search the internet. Even if these just ended up being files in the files section I think it would be easier for parents to access than searching archives and muddling through posts looking for info (I know some of this stuff is already there of course). But first things first, let's compile the information about the FAB/DBB amongst ourselves and give it true life! Here's what I'm thinking... we can pass it from parent to parent and they can take a week or so to take it and comment or add what they think is important. Then pass to the next person to modify and comment on. When we're done - those who have participated will have to edit it and make it readable but by then it should be about as comprehensive as could be. It will read like a conversation posted on the lists. I say something, and you comment about how it either didn't work for you or you did this or that instead, someone else writes some other information... whatever works. If anyone wants to participate let me know and I'll start a list of people and then give it to one person with a name to pass it to after they're done. We'll use one email so each person gets a chance to use the whole thing and when you're done copy it to the list for everyone to see and comment on if they want to (cuz the first person won't get to comment on other parent's comments who were after them). If y'all think I'm nuts let me know, but I hope some of you will take me up on this. Kori Mama of Kenton - 6/98 Merek - 3/00 Darbi - 3/28/03 - Rt. Guest guest
Kori- Count me in. I don't know how much I can add to the tips since we are pretty new to the game but I'll do my best. does have the sandals so maybe we can be of help there. I just want to be able to give back and help any other newbies that may have struggled with the same things we did. (We have had a pretty smooth time so far. Knocking on wood lol) Bridget 2/20/04 bl cf sandals 20/7 frogabog frogabog@...> wrote: OK - I'm sure everyone is aware of the tips post I send now and then.
