That's really good news, and inspiring for those of us with younger ones

watching Claire's progress. Thanks for all the feedback, to remind us

again that we have a bright future to look forward to!

good news checkup

Just wanted to post to say that Claire, almost 4, had a checkup with

Dr. Ponseti, and she's doing great.. her foot is flexible and looks

normal. She has been in the nighttime brace all this time. She'll

continue a bit longer with it, just to be on the safe side, since she

does fine with it.

It was good to be back in Iowa; the clinic was busy and full of

patients.. Dr. Ponseti looks wonderful -- so fit and energetic; it

was a joy to see him, and Dr. Morcuende as well -- and, of course, to

get such a positive report!

We were sorry to have just missed Tina and Kavan, and Jen and Livie

next week.. I met a few parents in the hallway and lobby, and wish I

could've met more! It was a bit of a whirlwind, flying in and out.

Just passing our news along, by way of encouragement..

and Claire, 6/29/00

Congrats on the great check up with Claire! I think it is sooooo important

for all parents (new and old) to see these positive posts especially when so

many relapse post have been posted.

Great news ! I'm glad Claire's foot continues to do so well. I

wish we could have met more parents a few weeks ago while we were

there, I wish I would have known you guys were going to be there in

the same month we went, I would have tried to schedual the same day.

Well, we'll meet one of these days I'm sure! :-).

We did see an adorable baby boy the morning we had our appointment,

he is just starting out and I could'nt help remembering those early

days way back when. One of the nurses brought him in to say hi to

while Dr. Ponseti was examining her. I did'nt get to meet his

mom though, I love to meet the moms and dads just starting out so

they can see what a wonderful end outcome Dr. Ponseti does. We also

remembered to take a picture of in front of her picture on the

Ponseti quilt this time, she's so tall now (and her picture is low

enough on the quilt)that I didn't have to hold her up this time. :-)

Congrats again on Claire's great report!!
