Guest guest
HI all, Just wanted to remind anybody that will be there that we are headed to Iowa today. We'll arrive in Iowa City tomorrow night. We've had a slight change of plans. Originally, Joyce had told us that Olivia's casts would be changed every five days, but I think she misunderstood that Olivia is 2.5 YEARS old, not months. We cleared that up and Livie will have cast changes every two weeks as neeed, so we are not going to stay the whole time. We will be there Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. Because we're not staying the whole time we've decided not to stay at the RMH. We didn't want to take up a room that other people could be using who are going to be there longer! We're booked into the Red Roof Inn. , we will be at the clinic Monday morning at 9. I'm not sure if you will be there or not then, but we'll try to catch up with you while we're there! If you are interested in meeting up, call me at the RRI. The room is under the name Consider (pronounced just like the word). Guest guest
Well shoot! I knew there was another little girl in the other room, but they never said her name was Devlin! I totally understand your concerns about Devlin's feet. It was so nice two years ago when Dr. Ponseti told us those beautiful words " Her foot is completely corrected. " I'm looking forward to hearing them again! I regret now listening to our other doctor who told us to take her out of the brace. Live and learn I guess, I'm just very sorry that my daughter has to pay for my mistakes. Anyway, Livie is doing incredibly with her cast. We took her to the Iowa Children's Museum at Coral Ridge Mall today and she had a ball! She was walking, running, and jumping just like she had no cast at all! She climbed up on a ten inch high platform and proceeded to jump right off, landed and took off running. She just about gave me a heart attack! One of the other mother's wandered if she had always been in a cast because she was so balanced in it. She was amazed that she had just gotten it yesterday! Well, I'm off to bed! We're hitting the road for home tomorrow. I'm so sorry that we missed you! Good luck with the rest of your treatments! I'm not going to say that I hope to see you when we're back out here in 2 weeks because I know you'd probably like to get home!
