Guest guest Posted May 4, 2004 Report Share Posted May 4, 2004 Hi , I can't take any kind of thiazide diuretics.....they make me break out in a terrible rash.....swell....and can't breathe ! I take Norvasc for my high blood pressure.....it works well for me with little side effects......we have decreased the dose recently to see if that is one of the medications causing my recurring rash.....I take 5mg. a day now with my Nephrologists approval of course. C. Kimi & Mojo They have taken me off the hctz ,which is like the lasix, because of whatever problem I'm having with my kidneys right now. I noticed last night my ankles were a little swollen so I hope they don't get worse. They put me on norvasc to keep the blood pressure down for now.
