Guest guest
I do not totally dislocate. Just what was called " multidirectional instability " The thermal shrinkages only lasted me about 2 months and then I was loose again. Saturday, and I went into a new BOSS men's clothing store to pick up these free shirts we had a coupon for. THe girl there had on the same fancy shoulder slingy thing I had twice.... the grey one with the detachable pillow under it. I told her I had one and asked her how she was, what happened, etc. She had had a rotator cuff repair and tightening repair due to dislocation the day before!! I couldn't belive my ears!! The asst. manager had quit so she came in with a pocket of pain pills(loose since she couldn't open the bottle obviously). Her mom was at home with her 9 month old until tomorrow and then she is on her on!! I wanted to cry for her! I never could have done that! Guess I am the wimp here! ... Guest guest
Hi Sharon, I have multi directional instability of my left shoulder plus even in normal circumstances my humerus and humeral head are already rotated and subluxed within the gleniod anyway (not sure whether this may be a progression of my Marfanoid skeletal deformities) Most of my dislocations are anterior and inferior, but I have also had several posterior/inferior too, some resulting from anterior reductions. I've also dislocated my scapula and collar bone during indulging in the extreme sport of.... pulling my pants up! I'm hoping my upcoming shoulder surgery will help stabilise things somewhat. I'm not 100% sure what my surgeon will do yet and more worryingly neither is he! We're going to get in side and make decisions on the kind of reconstruction needed depending on what he finds...he's warned me to expect fairly extensive surgery though and has me written up for a Morphine PCA already. Hmmm, I'm not liking the sound of this!! Oh well, fingers crossed it will work because if it doesn't he'll want to start getting the old power tools out and playing DIY on me again! Hope your shoulder is doing okay Darl, have you had your scans done yet? Keep me posted and know I'm here for you. Love and hugs...Jo xxx

Guest guest
Sharon; Mine go out anteriorly, inferiorly and posteriorly. Usually it's anterior/inferior though. Posterior is unusual for me, but it does happen. This is regardless of the many reconstructions, there's been no change in the direction of the dislocations despite this. Guest guest
> on her on!! I wanted to cry for her! I never could have done that! > Guess I am the wimp here! , you are NOT a wimp!! She's probably not doing what is BEST for her healing, and not what the doctor said. We can't compare each other, because everyone is different. Take care now!
