Guest guest
Jai, RSD is beyond weird..I hear how everyone is being affected by it..and we have many similarities..and many differences. It never hits anyone the same way it seems. Then drs are so confused by it...I can see why sometimes since it's such a hard disease to dx...because everyone has some differences. Every day i wake up and how is it going to be today...am I going to have numbness and tingling in both arms or not today..since that comes and goes..and same with the burning...where is it going to be today...It changes some everyday. I thankfully have no particular area that I can not touch right now...but in the beginning no one could touch my neck and right shoulder. I do hate when people bump into me since it hurts both arms now. So I guess the meds are helping some. Hope you had a Great day today...Hugs..Ginny jaismonkey@... wrote: In a message dated 10/18/04 10:55:17 AM Pacific Daylight Time, RSD-CRPSofAmerica writes: Unlike you the only hair growth i have is on my hand and wrist and arm and i am not enjoying it...It can last for months or years..depending on how your body is affected. I think God smiled on me with the no hair growth because my lower leg has an "UNTOUCHABLE ZONE" LOL!! If I had to shave that leg I would have to be put under anesthesia LOL!!!! Even a drop of water or a breeze sets off pain that is just unbearable. I have to keep the area wrapped in ace wraps so nothing touches it. Plus the scars are so horrific I would keep it covered anyway just because it's so darn UGLY!! I have a collection of bandannas every color, pattern you could think of and I match them to my outfit and cover the ace wraps with them. People must think I am making some weird fashion statement or something!!! But then they see the crutches and the fact that that leg is about one-third the size of the other and probably realize I've got something to hide. Don't care what people think anymore. I am way past that stage. But I think deep down inside it still hurts........ Take care, hope you are well, Love Jai
