Guest guest
Hi -- I have been reading your posts --- I can't even imagine the pain you are going thru. Your ortho sounds like a good doctor and I hope they find out what is going on right away so you can get some help. I will be keeping you in my prayers. Love, Patti Neck pain - Cindy C. & Sue Dear Cindy & Sue, Sorry about the time lags with the emails. I am on the digest so things are a bit behind :-) Yes I am absolutely miserable. I can't get away from the pain. Even putting my head on a pillow causes pain from the pressure. This is 7 days now of constant severe pain and I've had it! Cindy - I am at that point where I am about ready to just have them admit me and knock me the heck out till they figure out whats going on and can fix me. Sue - The ortho is concerned about the fever too and has been holding off for the lab results as if they show I am fighting off something then he will get me right in to the right doctor. I understand this and would prefer not to have an MRI if I don't have to as they are extremely painful for me. I do not currently have a regular GP so could not get in to one quickly. He could get me in to see a doc the same day. He seems to understand that this is bad and wants to help. When I spoke with him yesterday (which I didn't expect as he was in surgery and called me on his lunch break) he wanted to know if I was still running a fever cause if so he would have gotten me in to a doc yesterday. My thermometer isn't working correctly though so I really couldn't tell. I was getting reading like 95.5 which I know aren't right. Last night I tested it on my husband and his were right below and right above normal so then tested mine and I was running a low grade fever in the 99.* . But when I took it this morning they were all in the low 98.* He said he would have his office call Lab Corp this morning to get the results so I am expecting this to be dealt with today one way or another. The good thing is around here you can get in for an MRI very quickly - same or next day. Problem is if the lab results are okay and I do get an MRI tomorrow, I will have to sit the whole weekend before finding out anything. I can't and won't do that and will tell him so. I will keep you posted. Hugs, B. HEDS, New Jersey, USA
