After two weeks, you could up to the one grain (60 mg.) a day. and keep upping until you get rid of symptoms. as long as you don't have any heart issues. cindi

Guest guest
Just started on Armour. My doctor prescribed Synthroid, but I wouldn't take it. What is the average dosage for Armour starting out. I am taking 15 mg two times a day. My doctor would like to get me to 30 mg two times a day in a coupld of months, depending on my TSH. TSH is 5.35 now. Any thoughts? Thank you very much!
Guest guest
Your doctor has started you on a VERY low dosage, lower than I would recommend. Your TSH is WAY high, plus if you have Hashi's it is the worst test to adjust your dosage by and likely she will never give you enough Armour to feel well. Most of us are under 1.0 on our TSH when we feel our best, and many doctors read that as HYPER thyroid. *Artistic Grooming * Hurricane, WV Fat cat? Diabetes?
