Guest guest
Hello- I have a question to you all, but especially to Dr. . From your experience, how long does it take for signs of shrinkage to manifest once menopause has kicked in? I have waited and waited and waited for years with all the blood and pain, etc. The past few months the blood flow has progressively dwindled. And now I have gone over 55 days without any bleeding and Halleluiah for that. However, I still have pain, pressure, and a huge bulge. On top of that I have developed pain in the area of my ovary, which is interfering with my functioning-even in walking. So, I have two questions. One has to do with the time frame for shrinkage, as even after all this waiting and no more bleeding, I am still wondering about getting surgery. And what can you tell me about PCOS (Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome) and how can it be diagnosed if the ovaries are not seeable on an ultrasound or transvaginal due to the fibroids blocking them. AND, based on the sensation in my cervix area, I think my fibroids have dropped-is that possible to have happen? Thank You, Barb
