Mine defy classification, but two university studies have labelled them "SLE related, definitely". How they know this, I don't know. No specific treatment works on them, and they last for up to a year as an active problem spot. I have found, through trial and error, that a combination of Bag Balm, Sarna Lotion, Cortisone creams and moisturizers work best to contain and soothe these sores. Mine are worse after any sun exposure, even if I'm completely covered while outdoors. Mine also only itch when they dry up, but hurt to the touch otherwise. Very weird, we lupies. I have no experience whatsoever. On the other hand I have plenty of experience with lasix. I've pretty much have been on it for most of the last 17 years. At some points it was 240 mg daily. I have never had a reaction, but that doesn't mean anything either. So, did your pcp take you off the lasix? What is he doing to help you with this rash?
