So it looks like they covered it in part, correct? That is how our

dental plan does it, too--amalgams are cheaper. So they put the

allowed amount for an amalgam towards whatever you got, and then you

pay the difference.

That is a bit nuts because either fillings cost the same amount.

I would write them a letter to request the consideration of paying.

Especially if you have a doctor that can help back you up on your

special need for this replacement. Don't know if it would work but

I would try.

Correct, but appallingly typical of the state of our dental/health care, IMHO.
