Guest guest
Sharon, Yes , I have thought about looking into modification of my vehicle so that I will once again be able to drive..... but so far - I've been too ill to take the time to do much research on that particular subject just yet- many other things need to take first seat.......... but will eventually...... Although doctor thinks that it is placing others in danger and myself as I do tend to harm myself easily......... just one small smack - or step or something hitting me or me hitting it.......... like that cell phone just barely knicking me, caused major damage......... so I guess he feels I am safer in the house. Independance definitely would give me a HUGE boost but really do think I need to build self up again- muscles and such as 2 yrs of being housebound........ seems muscles in legs have become - hhhhhhhhmmmmmmmm,,,, thinking of the word- may not be spelled correctly but 'atrophied?' Doctor did not make any suggestions of my building it up- I did, I have and I am going to do it......... I hate the feeling when I stand , the wobbly - in pain , very sick feeling........ So maybe this summer - I will try some walking.......... taking something to get back on- like the scooter etc.......... but definitely got to be a way besides physical therapy- which nearly killed me........ ( hurt so bad )- so will do something on my own to hopefully shock dr with.......... would love to get off all narcotics all together.......... Hugs- TJ TJ, Have you thought about getting your vechile modified so that you can drive it. I drive a 2000 model Honda CRV Automatic which has been modified to make it easier on me as my right arm is very weak and unstable and I have RSD in it as well and my left leg is ACL deficient and unstable etc. There was talk on this subject earlier and if your main problems are in the lower limbs then you canget hand controls but if it is upper limbs you can get other modifications and if it is a combination of both you can get modifications to make use of your stronger limbs and take the load off your weaker ones. It is worth a try as the independance it gives you is a HUGE boost. Sharon > The best part is that it isn't bad for your liver, and you will be clear headed, and you can drive on it. > > Cant drive- dead right leg....... haven't driven for over 2 yrs and miss it extremely bad as it was definitely a stress reliever and I had just purchased a brand spanking new vehicle-. > Hugs- TJ > > > -------------------------------------------------------------------- - > " Are you still wasting your time with spam?... > There is a solution!
