he can join the ranks of all the really good thyroid doctors then...this has

happened to most of them unfortunately.

Yes I will! In fact, my husband and I have already discussed it and

he's very supportive.

My doctor is very good and knowledgeable (he's what I'd call a

" holistic M.D. " ) BUT our state medical board has restricted him in how

he can treat thyroid disorders...they didn't like that he prescribed

Armour and also treated according to symptoms in addition to labs.

(Our DREAM doctor!)

In fact, they don't like him treating a high TSH unless the FT4 is

also out of range...and he's already stuck his neck out for me as my

FT4 was " normal " (1.4 out of .8-1.8) and my TSH 5.4 (.30 - 5.5). The

interesting thing is he's never had a complaint against him from any

of his patients (in fact, I've heard numerous accolades about him as a

doctor), yet he's been targeted for his approach because it's not

" mainstream " .

I'm so thankful to him because he saw how terribly sick I've been and

he had enough understanding and compassion to want to help me. My

previous doctor just 2 weeks earlier had pronounced me " healthy " with

a " normal " TSH of 4.8-and-climbing in spite of the fact I could no

longer work and was nothing but a slug who had lost half her hair and

who's face looked totally different because of the puffiness.

My daughter will be going to Mexico for me tomorrow to see if Armour

is finally available at the pharmacies again. I'm getting prepared,

just in case...but I really hope it won't come to that!

The last time I was in Mexico I tried to get Armour. They wouldn't give it

out without a prescription. I did find out there are pharmacies there that

will but couldn't find one during the trip I was there.
