Guest guest
I just wanted to make my first post. First of all I just wanted to make a blanket thankyou to all who welcomed me in the first place with your warm welcome. Second I would like to respond to the allergies issue I find that all who are afflicted with these auto- immune issues do have allergies includding myself. Which in my brain makes sense because if the body is so oversensitive that it attacks its own protien, muscles etc... might this all start as a allergic tendency toward allergens?. Anyways let me introduce myself I am 43 years old from ohio and female I was struck down in october of 2001 with aches and pains that just would not go away. Unfortunately I was thrust into the world of vague pain diagnosis; which I have come to think that my primary care physcian thinks I am psycho, but I do not care anymore. It took me until the following year to get to a rhuemetoligist which was my lifeline to sanity. I have reynaurds, arthritis, muscle involvement, elevated sed rate, etc.. many ongoing issues with this but still no firm diagnosis.I also have the sunsesitivity and migranes with this. I love the ever changing aspects of what I am going through and a lack of respect by my primary dr. My rhuemetoligist asked me if he gave me anything for my migranes and I said " no he checked to see if I was pregnant " . My Rhuemetoligist just shook his head when I told him that my primary thinks I am a physco with the ever changing vague pains from my disease .He said this is normal for a primary dr. facing a suspected lupus patient for the first time perhaps in his career. Anyways I have theory on why so many people have auto immune diseases around my area (NE OHIO) we are sitting on a super fund site that was full of chromiun (same as Brokvich in california) I also over heard my primary telling his nurse that he sees a above average amount of auto-immune diseases. It seems big business has poisoned us here in Ohio .Anyone have a opionion on this feel free to reply, even my vet says he sees things in his animals that are not age appropiate or above average amounts eg.. tumors etc.. Even my dog less than two years old has asthma and arthritis. go figure. Anyways onto another subject I too also have the female problems I am having exploritory surgery this coming tuesday for chronic pelvic pain. Anyways as for a diagnosis my rhuemetoligist says it is looking more like lupus but with some people it takes longer to reveal itself clearly. I am having a horrible weekend since I am off of my anti-inflamitories because of the surgery Tuesday. The pain is starting to get to me and tylenol just doesn't help muscle and joint pain. Any suggestion on what to do to survive till Tuesday without the anti-inflamitories?Oh my the way my name is n see you all later.
