Thanks Jo- do intend to look into this, but as I stated, a bit down the road- at

this point, it hurts too much to even get to the car- let alone get to it, get

in it - then drive it, but once Ive built some of those muscles up again, I may

not even need those eh?

Hi TJ, it certainly might be worth looking into the options of

adapting a car to make it drivable for you Darl. I'm currently having

to look at systems devised for paralysis ijusries as both my legs are

useless and my upper body strenth isn't very good due to shoulder,

elbow and neck instabilties. I'm determined to get driving again

though as the freedom and indepence is becoming more inportant to me

as I loose more and more capabilities in other every day areas now.

Try discussing things with a loca OT department or even an OS, they

will most likley be able to assess you and suggest the best options

for you. I hope that you can get a system that allows you to driver

again TJ. I take my insiration from a racing driver colleague who

suffered a traumatic above knee amputation of both legs in a horrific

racing accident. Two year on, he is not only walking again, but also

racing in a modified car and designing his own prosthetic legs!

Take care TJ and good luck,

Love and hugs....Jo

Hi TJ, same here in the " work needing doing " area before I can even

think about getting in the car! Good luck and fingers crossed maybe

we'll get on that highway together again one day soon! ;-)
