Guest guest
Hiya! Ok, I'll be totally honest. I took one drag off Tom's cig this morning. It was gross. Yesterday was really hard. I ended up going to bed early so I wouldn't have to deal with it. That worked!! hehe I almost gave in last night. So, I'm still doing good. I am feeling better, and am doing a lot of deep breathing. That feels really good. I'm not coughing anything up yet, though. now, I'm all stuffed up - nose and ears - I think it's allergies. But, all in all - I'm feeling pretty darn good, and pretty darn pleased with myself. It's true when they say the urges only last a short time. I keep telling myself when I get one, that it will pass. I try to do something to get my mind off it. I used to have pretty good will power. I may be getting that back. ___________________________________________________________________ During the night, was coughing and coughing. She finished her meds for bronchitis. She was talking an oral med to open up the bronchial tubes. Anyway, she couldn't stop coughing, and her airway felt tight. I remembered a while ago a dr at the er dx'd her an inhaler, but she didn't want to get it filled, cause she didn't trust the dr. She thought he dx'd it too easily. She has also been saying that it feels like there is fluid in her lungs. I don't think she has pneumonia, cause she doesn't have a fever. She says it feels like she has 2 different coughs. Well, at 2:30am, I looked up asthma on the internet, and is said that coughing is one symptom. Since she had been taking the oral med, I decided to have her try 's inhaler (same thing the dr dx'd her). She did one puff, and the coughing stopped, and she was asleep about 20 minutes later. So, now I'm off to take her to the dr. I'm thinking she has bronchial asthma or something. Or, it could be the bronchitis hanging on, and she needs to stay on the meds to open up her airway. was coughing all last night too, and we just gave him cough med. We thought he must have another cold, or it's his allergies. Well, I had him do his inhaler this morning (2 puffs) and he has also stopped coughing. has a dx'd for the inhaler because he has a bit of wheezing during allergy season, usually when he excercises. Allergy/excercise induced asthma. I'm wondering if it's getting worse. He started taking his singulair (dx'd for asthma), and we thought it caused side effects of an upper respiratory infection - they say that on their ad. So now, he just wants to take the zyrtec for allergies. So, what I want to know from you guys is - Does anyone here have asthma, and do my kids symptoms match any of yours? Has anyone had bronchitis? And is it true that it can hang on for a long time? Did you use an inhaler? Has anyone had pneumonia? Do you have to have a fever with that? I worry so much about 's lungs. She's seeing the dr soon, so we'll find out. I just want your feedback, cause I learns so much more from you all! Hugs, From the still smokless - 4 days and counting -better smelling - easier breathing - much more agitated and irritated - Sorry this is so long. And if you read it all, then Thanks!!!!
