Guest guest
Boy , is this wierd! I was online and then my doc's office called because yesterday I had taken her a letter from Anthem(my insurance co) saying that they wouldn't pay for the RS Medical eletrical stimulator that I am using right now. There is a 3 month free trial period and then it is about 35 dollars a month. I don't know what it costs to buy it. It is different from a TENS unit which I already have. I had one just like this when I had rotator surgery. It has two cycles. First is for pain and lasts 15 min. and the second one which is 30 minutes, contracts the muscle. That is what I am trying so hard to do with my knees and lower back. Funny that you brought it up. When I came back to the computer , there was your message!! Guest guest
Hi , That sounds like a great little model with both the EMS and the TENS function. VERY handy indeed :-) And 3 months free rental? Yowza that is a great deal :-) I don't think many people could put up with some of the sharper ones. Getting use to it isn't very easy and my guess is that many aren't able to put up with some of the sensations of some models (especially the 1980 version >:-X) so how wonderful to be able to give it a trial run and see if its for 'you'. Why don't you ask these people if they rent to own? That just might work even better for you... I can sympathise w/ the insurance issues! Our company wouldn't cover it either. Hence why it was even more important to get a 1/2 decent price. I wonder if they think using one of these things is an easy way out to building muscle (yeh...right! :-O )? Also, for a while a lot of people bought these things to get firmer thighs or ab muscles...so perhaps this made it seem like a 'luxury' (cough!) There were a few injuries and then I think the US got a law in place where to buy one you need to have a DR's prescription. I had to email a scan of my script to PT mart for my machine but it wasn't a big issue. I'm so glad you've got a good unit that works for you! :-) Take care ! HUGS -Rhea PS. I guess we must be on the same mind wave length ;-)
